Tue, 11/14/2023 - 12:00 /   Milwaukee Theater Week

With the holidays just around the corner, our world-class Theater District is just heating up with its seasonal programming. Milwaukee Theater District’s 11 unique venues located in the heart of our downtown have over 15,000 seats to fill with performances daily. With plenty of programming coming up, now is the perfect time to catch a Broadway musical, a local or headliner musician, our Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and so much more! Here we will outline a few of our venues and get you in touch with some of the premier events you won’t want to miss in November.

Marcus Performing Arts Center

One of the premier venues in our Theater District, the Marcus Performing Arts Center contains three theater halls that host some of our city’s premier events. Of course, we know when Broadway musicals come to town they are performed here, but this upcoming season has a variety of entertainment to keep any individual interested. Starting in November we have the classic Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird as part of Broadway at the Marcus Center presented by Johnson Financial Group. This adaptation brings the book to life in one of America's most successful plays. Family-friendly events include The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical, a cheerful performance to get anyone in the mood for the holidays. Other November shows can be seen here.

The Pabst Theater, Miller High Life Theatre, and Riverside Theater

One of the city’s largest network of venues, the Pabst Theater Group here in downtown Milwaukee, includes eight venues, all uniquely diverse and booked full of talent from around the world. Some of the biggest shows that come to town take place at the Miller Highlife Theatre, The Pabst Theater, and Riverside Theater. The upcoming months are packed with comedy shows, international musical talent, and a variety of shows ranging from Harry Potter in Concert at the Riverside Theater to every kid's favorite show Bluey’s Big Play at the Miller High Life Theatre. The holiday season is also approaching, and with it comes some of the city’s most well-known performances. December sees performances such as ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Pabst Theater and ‘Deck The Hall Ball’ at Miller High Life Theatre to help ease anyone into Christmas.

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

One of the best-performing ensembles in the whole nation, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra has plenty of upcoming programming to fill the spectacular renovated concert hall in the heart of Westown. Breathtaking performances such as ‘Holiday Jazz with Dee Alexander’ are what MSO has been known for, but unique experiences such as ‘Elf In Concert’ and ‘Back To The Future’ create new ways to show the beauty of our Orchestra. All upcoming programming at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra can be seen here.

Turner Hall Ballroom

One of the city’s more iconic venues is Turner Hall Ballroom. A historic gem of our city that hosts one of the more extensive portions of its concerts. Some events include Pinky Patel on Nov. 16th, Better Than Ezra on Nov. 17th, and “The Taylor Party”, a Taylor Swift-inspired Dance Party on Nov. 25th. A more comprehensive list of their upcoming shows can be seen here

Milwaukee Repertory Theater

The Milwaukee Repertory Theater is located right on the river in the heart of our Theater District. This local theater allows Milwaukee to showcase our world-class talent and storytelling ability to create memorable moments for all. Current performances such as “Dial M for Murder” and seasonal classics such as “A Christmas Carol” are some of the content coming up shortly.
