Round up the family for downtown’s first-ever Halloween party for kids and parents! Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee presented by WaterStone Bank is Saturday, October 29, from 10 AM – 2 PM, at Red Arrow Park (920 N. Water Street). Arrive early, as the first 500 guests can pick out a free pumpkin from downtown’s only pumpkin patch, courtesy of Metro Market and Pick ‘n Save. After selecting the perfect pumpkin, kids and parents alike can decorate their pumpkin with A.W.E. (Artists Working in Education).
Then, grab a seat for story time, featuring Wanda the Witch, a character from The Pocket Lady at 11 AM and 1 PM, and story raps with Wes Tank at 12:30 PM. Kids, ages 2 – 10, are encouraged to dress up in costume and join their favorite animated movie characters for a parade around the park!
Throughout the event, everyone will enjoy a jubilant atmosphere, featuring bubble playtime, face painting, character meet-and-greets, a book sale with Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library, and fire prevention tips with the Milwaukee Fire Department.
Plus, ghosts, ghouls, and foodies alike will enjoy deviously delicious lunches for purchase from some of the area’s best food trucks, including Meat on the Street, Jmakin' Jamaican Kitchen & Grill, Piña Mexican Eats, and Fatty Patty. A Halloween event wouldn't be complete without sugary treats! Swing by Pop’s Kettle Corn and Cottonmouth MKE for fall-flavored popcorn and cotton candy.
Don’t forget to stop by the Milwaukee Downtown tent for a free goodie bag of treats, including candy, crayons, and bubbles! RSVP on Facebook today.
