Unite With Your Favorite Superheroes at the All-New Downtown Ice CAPE-ade Event

Calling all superheroes - Join us Saturday, February 12th for an incredible ice-skating event at Red Arrow’s Slice of Ice. The Downtown Ice CAPE-ade is a brand-new family event fun for all ages!

Ice CAPE-adeKa-pow! Mark your calendars and grab your superhero costumes - you do not want to miss this fun-filled event. Skate with your favorite comic book superheroes at Red Arrow’s Slice of Ice from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, February 12th.

Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite superhero costumes and free capes are provided to those 10 and under, while supplies last. In addition, free skate rentals, sponsored by WaterStone Bank, will be available during the event.

Ice CAPE-adeCoordinated by Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 and in partnership with Milwaukee County Parks, “Downtown Ice CAPE-ade” will feature DJ Shawna, the official DJ and producer of the Milwaukee Bucks, an ice sculpture / photo opportunity from Art Below Zero, and a free s’mores station. While skating, participants will have the chance to meet-and-greet with everyday heroes, including local Olympians, fire truck tours with the Milwaukee Fire Department, and skating with the Milwaukee Police Department.

“Downtown Ice CAPE-ade is a new event designed to beat the winter blues,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown BID #21. “We look forward to offering families an afternoon of cold-weather fun while celebrating the hero in all of us.”

LogoWhile you’re here downtown, grab a bite to eat! Local restaurants will offer specials to families attending the event. A complimentary dessert with a purchase from the Safe House: 779 N. Front St; 20% off Proof Pizza: 139 E. Kilbourn Avenue (located inside the Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel), and free hot chocolate at Fiddleheads Coffee: 790 N. Water Street.
