To show our support for the millions of essential workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Milwaukee skyline, along with cities across the United States, will be lighting up blue at 8 p.m. every Thursday night. #LightItBlue celebrates and honors all of the people risking their lives on the frontlines of the pandemic to keep citizens healthy and safer at home.
#LightItBlue isn’t just for the city skyline! The #LightItBlue campaign invites businesses, venues and communities across the country to turn blue in support of frontline staff and essential workers who are confronting the virus head-on. You can even get involved and make a difference from home. Use your humor, imagination and creativity to #LightItBlue from your home. Create anything that is blue and spreads a message of support and positivity then share your creation online using #LightItBlue to join the global movement.
In the face of anxiety and uncertainty, #LightItBlue shows a massive gesture of solidarity and support for those without the luxury of staying safer at home. People are coming together from across the world to remain stronger than ever.
