Milwaukee's Fashion Scene on Full Display

Even amid a pandemic, Milwaukee’s chic creatives are finding clever outlets to pivot and hone their craft. In a partnership with Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, Jeffrey McAlister of FashionSense has spotlighted local designers and boutiques in a new MKE It Local: Winter 2021 Lookbook. The book, which strives to elevate Milwaukee’s image as a fashion hub, features over 40 looks from eight designers and boutiques on more than 20 local models with downtown Milwaukee vistas as the backdrop.

The Lookbook

The MKE It Local Lookbook is a visual representation of style and fashion from Milwaukee's local designers, shops and boutiques. With looks ranging from everyday casual to formal wear, Milwaukee proves itself to be a hotbed of future fashion trends. All photography shot on location at various downtown Milwaukee venues.

The MKE It Local: Winter 2021 Lookbook is available for preview here. The interactive guide allows readers to connect to a designer or boutique’s collection, encouraging online and in-store purchases. A special behind-the-scenes video, produced by Foureva Productions, can be viewed here.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions

Working under the City of Milwaukee’s Order #4.3 guidelines, the production crew and models assembled in groups less than 10. COVID-19 testing was conducted prior to the shoots and masks and gloves were worn on set, except when models were photographed.
